Welcome Michelle Bergy to the CSRC Team!

Michelle Bergy is a licensed speech and language pathologist with a passion for working with children and helping others communicate.  This passion was cemented when volunteering with children on the autism spectrum during her undergraduate studies.  After completing her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Michelle spent a year working with k-8th grade kids in Chicago Public schools.  During this time, she gained an interest in reading and literacy interventions.  She also developed individual education plans and worked within a special education team.

Michelle also spent time working for the Early Intervention program in Illinois.  During her time working exclusively with the birth-to-three age group, Michelle gained experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders, language delays, fluency disorders, and phonological delays.  Michelle believes strongly in learning through play, especially with younger children, and believes that communication should be fun!

Michelle received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University.  Michelle also enjoys working with the adult population and works part-time at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital providing inpatient rehabilitation services.
